Tuesday, 1/18, this is my stylist, Sarah. She has been doing my hair for several years, and she always does a nice job. I toyed with taking the picture during the process, but this IS a family-friendly site!
Wednesday, 1/19. I signed C out of school for lunch, since I had been working the past 4 evenings, and hadn't seen her much. We had a nice lunch at Panera, and even had time for a stop at Barnes and Noble before she went back to school, and I went to work. (D gets home from school before I leave, so I do see more of him when I work.)
Thursday, 1/20. I found a website where you can create your own "Keep Calm" sign. I created this one, printed it out, and hung it in the kitchen. It is a joke, so go ahead and laugh, but it's life-saving advice on a REALLY BAD DAY! ( we all have our own version of calm, don't we?)
Friday, 1/21. Tonight Joe and I watched the last episode of one of our favorite series. A great show, but it had run its course.
Saturday, 1/22. We attended a pot-luck baby shower for a Chinese couple this afternoon. It was hosted by a Japanese couple, and the food was absolutely fabulous. We were sent home with several delectable items, but these little desserts were the only things that survived long enough to have a photo taken. They were made from a sweet red bean curd paste, and rolled in coconut powder. Delicious!
Sunday, 1/23. C and her friend asked me to take them to the mall for a shopping trip. I think they had a lot of fun, and their big purchase was 2 oversized rings for $8.00. These 2 are bargain hunters! On the way home, they finally let me take their picture at the Syracuse/Orange Crush display at Wegman's. Yes, on a daily basis I shop at the store Alec Baldwin made nationally famous on the David Letterman show. Probably not as good as Trader Joe's, but still a pretty darn good place to get your groceries!
Monday, 1/24. Today was a good news/bad news sort of day. D brought home a good report card, and these school photos. Can you believe this boy? You'd think he'd have learned by year 6 in this school! His dad immediately took him for a haircut, and I scheduled the re-takes, but I had to record it for posterity. BTW, I am all for self-expression, but the group that decides the school dress and appearance codes is not!
These are the everyday photos that I am putting in my Project Life album in 2011.

Week 2,3
Here is the second week of pictures, plus a little of the third. I hope you enjoy them!
Some people have asked how to leave comments. First, you have to become a "follower" of my blog. You do that by clicking on the "Become a Follower" tab on the right column of this blog. You then follow the prompts to create a Google account if you haven't already. When you leave a comment, it will not appear immediately in the comment section. It will still say that there are 0 comments. This is because I have elected to moderate the comments on this blog. This is a family friendly site, and my kids have full access to this blog, so I want to have some control over what is posted. That is the main reason I have created this blog instead of just posting all of the photos on Facebook.
I would also ask you not to use the kids' names when you comment. C and D will give us all enough information to know who you are talking about. If you do so, just because you forgot, your comment will probably not be posted, but I will still get to read it. I do not think I can edit your comments. Also, if you do not want to become a follower, you can always e-mail me your comments!
Sunday, 1/9 Copper is getting one of his favorite treats for going into his kennel--it's dried Doggie Jerky. A common sight, around here, since it happens at least once a day!
Monday, 1/10 In the back seat on the way home from school on Monday (forgot to take a photo on Sunday!) Stopped for a little treat, and found out he already had the candy cane in his backpack!
Later on Monday. A little too much bickering at dinner resulted in an extra chore aimed at learning to work together!
Tuesday, 1/11 Tuesdays and Thursdays are "eggs and toast" mornings. For those who wonder, I still do not eat eggs, but I will cook them for the kids. Apparently this "Wright" anomaly has been sufficiently diluted, and ends with me!
Wednesday, 1/12 Picture Day at school. Handsome!
Thursday, 1/13 A Pummelo. He saw it at the grocery store, and just had to try it. She is my foodie, and wanted a picture with it. The verdict? For the price, grapefruit is better.
Friday, 1/14 Her latest interest. Manga. Can I just say that I don't encourage it, but feel it will be around longer if I voice my opposition? I do screen them first.
Saturday, 1/15 Basketball game against her good friend's team. Blue won, and she scored against her friend, but it is all in good fun!
Sunday, 1/16 Copper is staring down a dog treat. Technically, this is not a dog toy, but we kept a close watch on him as he tried to figure out how to get the treat out of this Oddball. Very amusing!
Monday, 1/17 Late Christmas gifts from Joe's "Uncle" Jimmy. I'll just let the photo of him modeling the gifts speak for itself!
